Rebel Wilson alleges that Sacha Baron Cohen is pressuring her to exclude him from her book, referring to him as an “a**hole” in the entertainment industry and implying he is attempting to silence her.
The actress hinted at a chapter in her upcoming memoir, ‘Rebel Rising,’ where she plans to reveal a negative encounter with a Hollywood figure, building anticipation to unveil the identity of this individual ahead of the book’s launch in about two weeks.
On Sunday, Rebel, ahead of schedule, identified Sacha as the individual in question through a social media post, expressing her views candidly and asserting that she refuses to be intimidated or muted by legal threats or crisis management strategies. She explicitly named Sacha Baron Cohen as the “asshole” referenced in a single chapter of her book.

Rebel’s accusation stemmed from a video she shared on March 15, where she briefly recounted an encounter with Sacha, mentioning how early in her career, she was advised about a firm stance against “assholes” in the industry, insinuating that Sacha Baron Cohen played a role in shaping her own experiences.
In 2016’s ‘The Brothers Grimsby,’ both Rebel and Sacha starred, with Sacha in the lead role and Rebel in a prominent supporting position. The movie also featured Isla Fisher, Mark Strong, Lex Shrapnel, Rory Keenan, Tamsin Egerton, and more, directed by Louis Leterrier.
Rebel has not provided specific details about the reasons behind her negative perception of Sacha. Nonetheless, she has dedicated considerable content in her memoir to him, promising to reveal the complete story to the public imminently.
The memoir ‘Rebel Rising’ will be available from April 2nd and will be published by Simon & Schuster.
We have contacted Sacha’s representatives for a response, but as of now, no reply has been received.
