Young Thug sued by AEG who are claiming that he signed a $16 million publishing agreement with Kobalt Music in 2021 without their knowledge.

AEG says they own the rights to Thugger’s music.

The company claims they entered into a contract with the Atlanta rapper that included a $5.25 million loan and that as soon as he defaulted on the loan, he transferred the copyright to his publishing catalog in 2021 even though their deal had given AEG exclusive rights.

The lawsuit was filed years back but was halted during the rapper’s RICO trial.

Thugger spent more than 900 days in custody and was ordered to serve 15 years on probation as part of the non-negotiated guilty plea deal. He pleaded no contest to racketeering and leading a criminal street gang.

In court, Young Thug told the judge that he had learned from his mistakes. He is also prohibited from releasing music related to gang activity.
