Ryan Grantham, recognized for enjoying Jeffery Augustine in “Riverdale,” has been sentenced to life behind bars for killing his personal mom.
The 24-year-old was sentenced Wednesday in British Columbia, Canada Supreme Court — roughly 6 months after pleading responsible to a second-degree homicide cost for the loss of life of his mother, Barbara Waite, again in 2020.
Prosecutors say the disgraced actor recorded his confession and the aftermath of the tragic ordeal together with his personal digital camera on the time — within the clip, he admitted, “I shot her behind the top. In the moments after, she would have recognized it was me.”
Justice Kathleen Ker described the case as heartbreaking, tragic, and life-shattering whereas giving him the sentence.
According to prosecutors, Grantham shot his mom behind the top whereas she was taking part in the piano at residence — the next day he loaded his automotive with weapons, ammo, Molotov cocktails, and instructions to Rideau Cottage — the place Canadian PM Justin Trudeau lives.
Detectives investigating the case say Grantham later confessed he was trying to kill Trudeau and wrote about his purpose in a journal.
Per the phrases of the sentence, Grantham won’t be eligible for parole throughout his first 14 years locked away.
