Kristin Cavallari is embracing her single status after recently ending her seven-month fling with influencer Mark Estes. During a candid conversation on her podcast, “Let’s Be Honest,” the former “Hills” star shared her thoughts on the breakup and reflected on the healthy nature of their relationship.
The 37-year-old reality TV veteran revealed that she made the decision to end things with the 24-year-old TikTok sensation, emphasizing that it was a mutual and respectful choice rooted in long-term considerations rather than any animosity. “Mark and I broke up… it’s hard because I broke up with Mark because I just know long-term it’s not right,” she explained. Cavallari added that it wasn’t due to any infidelity or conflict; instead, it was about recognizing life experiences and maturity levels.
Despite their age difference of 13 years, Cavallari insisted their relationship was “very healthy and very mature.” She took the time to reflect on her own journey at the age of 24, admitting that those formative years are crucial for personal growth. “I look back to when I was 24 and how much life has happened since then,” she stated. “He needs to be able to experience life.”
Cavallari, a mother of three—sons Camden, 12, Jaxon, 10, and 8-year-old Saylor from her previous marriage to NFL quarterback Jay Cutler—discovered Estes on social media last September before they started dating in February. While they enjoyed a blissful relationship, Cavallari recognized the importance of allowing Estes to navigate his own path in life.
Expressing her belief in Estes’ future, she stated, “He will make someone so happy one day… and he will have a beautiful family of his own.” She has confidence that one day he will appreciate the decision to part ways, “I actually think one day he will look back and thank me.” Though she acknowledged he may not have that clarity right now, Cavallari remains optimistic about both their futures.
Reflecting on their time together, she voiced no regrets about their relationship, saying it was filled with happiness and growth. “It was such a good, happy relationship. And I think with every relationship, you learn and grow from,” she remarked. As she transitions to this new phase of life, Cavallari is focusing on herself and her children.
As for dating, she is currently uninterested, stating, “I’m really happy and really content having my life right now be about my kids and work.” Instead, she’s channeling her energy into self-care and making her personal happiness a priority. “I’m like really feeling this energy of just wanting to feel really good and making myself a priority,” she explained, indicating that romantic pursuits will not be in the forefront for now.
