Kehlani has responded to claims made in a recent lawsuit that she engaged in an “inappropriate relationship” with her own daughter.
Her ex, Javaughn Young-White, is fighting for custody of their daughter. In legal documents, he alleged the singer “claims to see spirits and believes our daughter’s spirit was one of Kehlani’s wives in a past life.”
He provided receipts in the form of a text message exchange.
“What area of the world did this past life person say Adeya [their daughter] is from” he writes to her and Kehlani responds: “south amurrrica she was my wife once lol.”
In a written statement, Kehlani released the full-text messages and claimed that the messages provided to the court were “doctored.”
She vehemently denies being in an inappropriate relationship with her daughter and says the allegations are “heartbreaking.” The singer went on to say that she has tried to keep their legal battle in the courtroom but draws the line at the recent claims made by her ex.
