Garth Brooks wants to take his legal battle with the woman who accused him of sexual assault and battery to a federal court.

Jane Roe says she was employed as a hair and makeup artist and that in May 2019, she flew Brooks to Los Angeles to tape a Grammy tribute performance to Sam Moore.

When they arrived at the hotel, Roe was “shocked” when she was informed she did not have her own room and had to share it with Brooks. Roe alleges Brooks continually exposed his genitals and buttocks, talking about sex and sharing intimate fantasies with Roe. She says the global star would change his clothing in front of her and even send her graphic text messages.

Brooks wants his case heard in federal court, since the damages that she asked for in her lawsuit against him exceed $75K. This would mean he would have a faster trial date and a “broader jury pool” per Legal expert Tre Lovell via Entertainment Tonight.

He denies the allegations against him.
