Following some candid comments made by Halle Bailey regarding her son appearing on Kai Cenat’s livestream with his father, without her knowledge, fans have taken to the court of public opinion, going after The Little Mermaid actress. Well, DDG is now stepping in asking fans to “leave Halle alone,” urging them to respect his ex, while also making it clear that “he won’t stand for anyone bullying her.”
“One thing I don’t like what people do, I don’t like when people hate on Halle,” the 27-year-old said in a posted YouTube video. He continued, “I don’t care if people think she wrong or not, or if I think she wrong or right.”
“She could be going through something mentally after having a kid that I can’t understand as a man. So when situations like this happen, I try to handle it with as much grace as possible because Halo needs her, I need her, we need each other to create a childhood that’s safe and fun and memorable for him,” DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. concluded.
DDG went on to talk about his 11-month-old son, Halo, calling him “the biggest blessing in his life.” He added, “And I wouldn’t have him if it wasn’t for Halle, and for that reason alone, I got unconditional love and respect for her.”
If you are wondering just what this is all about, and haven’t heard, let’s recap.
Bailey, who was out of town at the time, took to social media to express her frustration, revealing that she hadn’t been told about Halo’s public appearance and wasn’t comfortable with him being exposed to millions.
“Hi everyone. just so you know i am out of town and i don’t approve of my baby being on a stream tonight,” Halle posted to X, formerly Twitter, after the stream went live. “I wasn’t told or notified and i am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people. I am his mother and protector and saddened that i wasn’t notified especially when i am out of town.””
Shortly after her statement, Bailey deactivated her social media accounts, but later returned. She then addressed fans stating that she, “may have overreacted.”
Bailey tweeted “Yesterday maybe i did overreact and shouldn’t have brought it here. i know that halo is always safe with his dad. i just don’t like finding out with the rest of the world what my baby is doing. thank u kai for the gifts for Halo.”
Halo is Bailey and DDG’s only child. The couple welcomed their adorable son in December of 2023. The couple split in October of this year.
