Cheryl Burke Leaving ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ Wants Vacated Judge’s Seat

Cheryl Burke is hanging up her boogie shoes on “Dancing With the Stars” — and while she’d enjoy a seat at the judge’s table … it does not seem like that’s gonna take place, a minimum of in the meantime.

The long time professional dancer and ‘DWTS’ staple — who’s been a repeating entrant for 26 seasons, and won two times — revealed Sunday she would not be contending on the truth competitors reveal any longer, stating it was time to retire and carry on to brand-new horizons.

In a prolonged IG post, Cheryl discussed Monday night’s finale episode would be her last dance efficiency on ‘Dancing,’ and included a wholehearted thank you to the production as a whole.

She composes, “This show has been my 2nd family since I was 21 years old. The cast, crew & fans have seen me through my highest highs & some of my lowest lows, & I honestly don’t know who I would be today without them. I also know that it is time for me to begin the next phase of my career, although dance will always be a part of me.”

CB includes, “I am excited about the idea of evolving, about being challenged in new ways, having the ability to expand my commitment to mental health advocacy, focusing on my new found love for podcasting, & I’m ready to face the uncertainty (though it’s scary as sh**) of what the future holds – I do have a few things up my sleeves though, so don’t worry.”

The main ‘DWTS’ Twitter page wanted her well amidst the news, calling her an icon. That’s good, however Cheryl was extremely truthful about why she’s leaving in follow-up interviews.

Cheryl informed Variety that she in fact desired the empty judge’s chair being vacated by essential Len Goodman — who revealed recently he was retiring also. She states she’s been singing about this for several years now, and has actually obviously revealed it to upper management … however to no get, it appears. Instead, it appears like ABC and co. are letting her leave.
