Bill Maher was on a tear Friday night over Halloween, and his message — on the surface area about “offensive” outfits — was a lot more of a social commentary about the “emotional hemophiliacs” who are bent out of shape over whatever under the sun.
The “Real Time” host zeroed in on media websites that are urging/warning/threatening individuals not to use particular outfits. No Queen Elizabeth — prematurely, Bill asks? No Elvis, since he when dated a minor lady. No hobos — a staple for many years — since they’re now thought about unhoused individuals who are off limitations. No Trump, no Putin, no Will Smith, no Johnny Depp, and certainly no vaccines.
As for Jeffrey Dahmer, ignore it, in spite of it being “a sensation on Netflix.” Bill referrals Simone Biles‘ tweet … “put the Jeffrey Dahmer outfits back in the closet. We ain’t having it!” Bill asks, “Who’s we? Who died and made you ‘The Great Pumpkin?'”
As he states, Halloween is expected to be a celebration of the sacrilegious and an event of the monstrous. Being outrageous that day is a release valve, he states. Other countries have comparable events for that really function … to let individuals vent and let loose.
As Bill states … perhaps what must be canceled is November 1st, where the “good people tell the bad people what they did wrong.”
