Actor Ray Buffer Charged Over Stolen Comic Books

Actor Ray Buffer is formally taking on district attorneys for his comics theft ordeal … that includes security video of him presumably swiping merch.

A representative for the San Diego City Attorney informs TMZ … Ray’s been charged with one count of misdemeanor petty theft over the October 2022 event. We’re informed the actor pled innocent at his arraignment in January, and a more court hearing is set up next week.

As we reported, Southern California Comics claims Ray took $600 worth of comics, and handed police officers security web cam video of the entire caper.

Another comic store — this one in L.A. County — stated it had comparable video from their shop of Ray trying to swipe comics. That owner was seen on electronic camera booting him out of the shop over it.

The owner of Southern California Comics informs TMZ … he was informed by the City Attorney’s workplace that Ray’s attorney is trying to cut an offer to manage the matter by paying restitution to the store and going into a diversion program — however the store owner does not believe such a slap on the wrist suffices.

Ray has more than 100 acting credits to his name, appearing in television programs like “ER” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” and most just recently “Into the Wild Frontier”.
