Cops Sue Afroman For ‘Emotional Distress’ After He Shared Images Of Home Raid

Police officers that raided rapper Afroman’s house final 12 months have filed a lawsuit towards him for invasion of privateness and emotional misery after he posted footage of the raid in his music movies.

Police officers Shawn D Cooley, Justin Cooley, Michael D Estep, Shawn D, Grooms, Brian Newland, Lisa Phillips, and Randolph L Walters, Jr, filed the lawsuit in Adams county, Ohio.

They declare he used the officers’ pictures and likenesses for industrial functions.

According to court docket paperwork, the cops performed a search of Afroman’s residence final August, “pursuant to a lawfully issued search warrant,” in connection to an investigation into drug possession and trafficking, in addition to kidnapping. The proof didn’t recommend that Afroman is concerned in any of these crimes.

The officers declare they’ve acquired demise threats since Afroman’s social media posts and have been unable to carry out their duties correctly.

“As a results of Defendants’ actions, Plaintiffs have suffered damages, together with all earnings derived from and attributable to Defendants’ unauthorized use of Plaintiffs’ personas, and have suffered humiliation, ridicule, psychological misery, embarrassment, and lack of status,” the lawsuit mentioned.

They are every suing for $25,000 per 4 counts.
