Two footballs that were used by Tom Brady to throw touchdown passes in one of his Super Bowl victories are set to be auctioned off, with the anticipated sale price reaching a staggering $1 million.
TMZ Sports has obtained information indicating that two footballs from the Patriots vs. Seahawks game in Super Bowl XLIX will be put up for auction at the Gotta Have Rock and Roll auction house, and both have significant connections to Brady.
One of the balls was thrown by TB12 and caught by Rob Gronkowski for a score in the first half of the game, while the second was also thrown by Brady to Danny Amendola for a touchdown late in the contest. Ultimately, Brady and the Patriots emerged victorious with a score of 28-24.
The touchdown pass to Gronkowski allowed Brady to tie Joe Montana for the most touchdown passes in Super Bowl history with 11, while the pass to Amendola broke that record.
Both Brady and Amendola personally signed their touchdown football, with Amendola including a personal letter to accompany the ball, guaranteeing its authenticity.
Experts at Gotta Have Rock and Roll anticipate that both footballs will command a price of $1 million by the conclusion of the auction.
The auction is set to officially close on February 23, so best of luck to all potential bidders!
