Brett Maher can’t capture a break … even the guv of Texas leapt in to overdo the Dallas Cowboys kicker after he missed out on yet another PAT on Sunday night.
Greg Abbott‘s trolling came simply minutes after Maher had his 2nd quarter point after effort obstructed in Dallas’ championship game versus the San Francisco 49ers.
I swear, I can kick as great as the Dallas Cowboys kicker.

“I swear,” Abbott tweeted. “I can kick as good as the Dallas Cowboys kicker.”
Of course, Abbott is disabled from the waist down … after he sustained considerable injuries when an oak tree fell on him throughout an early morning jog in 1984.
The missed out on PAT was Maher’s 5th in his last 2 video games — keep in mind, the 33-year-old whiffed on 4 additional point efforts versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Cowboys’ Wild Card Round win.
To his credit, Maher did return to make 2 basket in the video game … striking a 25-yarder in the 3rd quarter and a 43-yarder in the 4th. Abbott didn’t care to discuss those.
The kicks, however, eventually weren’t enough to get Dallas a win … they dropped the video game, 19-12.
It’s now forming up to be a long offseason for the Cowboys — one in which they’ll require to choose if Maher will be their kicker moving forward.
