The start of C.J. Stroud‘s NFL career has been exceedingly impressive, leaving his Houston teammate, Dare Ogunbowale, astonished.
“I’m genuinely taken aback,” expressed the Texans running back to TMZ Sports this week. “Some of it definitely surprises me because I understand the demands of being an NFL player, particularly a quarterback in this league. It’s not an easy feat.
“And yet, he’s making it seem effortless.”

During his rookie season’s first eight games, Stroud has tallied 2,270 passing yards, 14 touchdowns, and just one interception. In his most recent game, a thrilling victory against Tampa Bay, he set a rookie record with 470 passing yards.
Ogunbowale acknowledges that witnessing Stroud’s performance has been extraordinary, stating, “It’s special, man.”
“You can clearly see the talent,” he further commented, “yet it’s the composure, authority in the huddle, and confidence in him and the entire offense that’s truly enjoyable to witness.”
Stroud faces a formidable challenge this weekend as he leads the 4-4 Texans against the red-hot Bengals in Cincinnati.

Ogunbowale anticipates the upcoming match to be a tough one. However, he revealed that, unfortunately, his responsibilities for the game won’t include kicking, as they did against the Buccaneers last weekend.
