Hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg’s youngest daughter, 24-year-old Cori Broadus, reportedly experienced a severe stroke, as confirmed by Media Take Out.
Despite previously being in good health, Cori had gained a substantial amount of weight in recent years.
Research from the American Heart Association has revealed a concerning trend of increasing stroke rates among Americans under 49 over the past three decades. While rare conditions can predispose individuals to stroke at a young age, most risk factors for stroke in young adults mirror those in older adults, including high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, and obesity, which are becoming more prevalent among the younger population.
Notably, the health conditions leading to stroke and the occurrence of strokes are more widespread in historically marginalized communities, with higher rates observed in African, Hispanic, and East Asian populations. The Southern and mid-Southern regions of the United States, known as the ‘Stroke Belt,’ exhibit elevated stroke incidences due to a combination of socioeconomic, racial, demographic, and lifestyle factors.
