Atlanta Rapper Ralo Released from Prison

Popular Atlanta trap rapper Ralo has been released from prison this morning, as confirmed by Media Take Out.

Ralo was initially arrested for a criminal conspiracy charge in April 2018 and was subsequently sentenced to eight years and one month in federal prison in March 2022. However, he will now only have to serve five years of supervised release following his release.

Contrary to speculations, Ralo’s early release was not due to snitching. According to Ralo’s team, he was given over 4 years credit time served, and the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) credited him 1 & 1/2 years for good behavior.

Prior to his rise in the hip hop scene, Ralo was deeply involved in the street life and was rumored to have controlled drug sales in a 3-mile radius neighborhood in Atlanta.

Following his arrest in April 2018, Ralo pleaded not guilty to federal drug conspiracy charges after a search of a private plane he was in revealed nearly $1 million worth of marijuana. Despite turning down a five-year plea deal in 2019, he continued to release music projects, including “Free Ralo” (2019) and “Political Prisoner” (2021), while in incarceration.

Ralo, who was signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records via Interscope Records and his own label Famerica Records, gained recognition with his single “Can’t Lie” featuring rapper Future. His mixtapes “Famerican Gangster” and “Diary of the Streets” were released in 2015, contributing to his growing success in the hip hop industry.
