Pierce Brosnan has accepted a plea deal concerning his unlawful hiking incident in Idaho, following an initial not-guilty plea entered just two months earlier.
Court documents obtained by TMZ reveal that Brosnan admitted guilt to one of the two charges of illegal hiking lodged against him for allegedly trespassing into a sensitive hot spring at Yellowstone National Park in November 2023.
As part of the deal, the other charge was dropped. Brosnan will pay approximately $1,540 in fines and court expenses due to his guilty plea.
It’s worth noting that Brosnan shared a few photos from restricted areas in the park, zones closed to visitors for safety reasons related to the springs and hikers.
These images were highlighted by TouronsOfYellowstone on Instagram, a page that showcases rule-breaking tourists in the beautiful national park.
Brosnan was potentially subject to a fine of up to $5,000 or six months in jail if found guilty, but it appears the actor is resolving this legal matter by admitting to the charges.
