An iconic part of Paul Reubens‘ history is on its way to a lucky buyer — the bicycle used by Pee-wee Herman was seen outside an auction house following its six-figure sale.
The 1953 Schwinn DX Cruiser was spotted in the back of a truck on Monday afternoon during the TMZ Celebrity Tour in Hollywood. While the tour usually showcases celebrities, this time it featured the memorable celebrity bike parked outside Bonhams auction house on Sunset Blvd.
Bonhams is recognized for its unique auctions, ranging from Pablo Picasso and Andy Warhol art to Rush drummer Neil Peart‘s drumkit, and everything in between.

The auction house recently hosted its Pop Culture: Then & Now auction, where the distinctive bicycle from “Pee-wee’s Big Adventure” was sold for $140,000, indicating that the beloved bike was about to be delivered to the winning bidder.
As previously reported, Paul passed away in July after a private battle with cancer.
This is an iconic piece of movie history, and hopefully, it will find a new owner who will treasure it immensely.
