Marquise Brown pleaded guilty to an extreme speeding charge on Wednesday … 6 months after cops implicated the NFL star of going 126 MPH in a 65 MPH zone.
The Cardinals receiver appeared to an Arizona courtroom to get in the plea … and you can see in video of the hearing, gotten by TMZ Sports, he was using a black sweatshirt and black trousers for the procedures.
He didn’t speak much while in court, though he and his lawyer did inform the judge he was altering his preliminary plea of innocent and pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of extreme speed.
Brown is now dealing with a fine of approximately $500, 1 month in prison, and/or 1 year probation as penalty. He’ll discover his fate at a sentencing hearing next month.
The 25-year-old was at first pulled over on Aug. 3, 2022 … after cops say they captured him going 61 MPH over the speed limitation in a 2020 Mercedes on a highway in Maricopa County.
Brown was arrested and booked into prison.
At practice in the days after the occurrence, Brown apologized for his actions … calling them “disappointing.”
Brown went on to have an up-and-down year for the Cards … logging 709 getting lawns and 3 TDs in 10 video games while fighting through a foot injury.
