This week Atlanta cops charged Chaka Zulu, the long time supervisor for rap artist Ludacris, with murder following a June shooting that eliminated a 23-year-old guy, according to cops.
In a declaration to the media, Chaka’s attorney informed the general public that the music executive acted in self-defense, releasing a weapon he is accredited to bring after being assaulted.
The music executive, whose genuine name is Ahmed Obafemi, was severely hurt in the June 26 shooting in the car park of a Buckhead shopping mall in the 2200 block of Peachtree Road; his attorney, Gabe Banks, states he is “still recuperating from the almost deadly injuries he sustained that night.”
The shooting eliminated Artez Jamil Benton, 23, a DeKalb County native and a current college graduate.
“It is not lost on Mr. Zulu that somebody lost his life, however had Mr. Zulu not legally protected himself, Mr. Zulu would have been eliminated that night,” Banks’ declaration stated.
