Jeff Bezos is litigating due to the fact that among his previous house cleaners declares he racially victimized her, and required her to work under conditions so bad … simply going to the restroom was a headache.
According to legal docs, acquired by TMZ, Mercedes Wedaa states Bezos’ group supposedly treated her and other Hispanic cleaning up employee much in a different way compared to the white workers … declaring his home supervisor was “aggressive and abusive” to her, while being “respectful and polite” to the white personnel.
Wedaa, who started operating at Bezos’ Seattle estate back in 2019, declares she would typically work 10-14 hour shifts, however was not able to take a break while Bezos and his household were on-property.
She declares she wasn’t enabled to go into the house unless actively cleaning up … which is where going to the restroom ended up being a significant problem.
According to the docs, Wedaa and other house cleaners “were required to climb up out of the utility room window to the exterior. Then run along the course to the mechanical space, through the mechanical space and downstairs to a restroom.”
Wedaa’s now looking for damages from Bezos and 2 business that handle his residential or commercial properties.
Bezos’ lawyer, Harry Korrell, informs TMZ, “We have investigated the claims, and they lack merit. Ms. Wedaa made over six figures annually and was the lead housekeeper. She was responsible for her own break and meal times, and there were several bathrooms and breakrooms available to her and other staff.”
He continues, “The evidence will show that Ms. Wedaa was terminated for performance reasons. She initially demanded over $9M, and when the company refused, she decided to file this suit. Given their backgrounds, the suggestion that Mr. Bezos, Ms. Sanchez, or Northwestern LLC discriminated against Ms. Wedaa based on her race or national origin is absurd.”
