Eric Andre Sues Clayton County Over Racial Profiling At Airport

Comedian Eric Andre definitely isn’t in a laughing state of mind … taking a whole county to court after presumably getting racially profiled at an airport in 2015.

According to the docs, acquired by TMZ, Eric and fellow comic Clayton English are taking legal action against Clayton County, its cops chief, and numerous private officers … declaring they both were singled out — at different times — at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport while boarding their flights.

Eric states he was dropped in the jet bridge — that narrow tunnel that links a gate to the airplane itself — long after he went through his ticket check and TSA screenings.

Andre and Clayton declare the “target selections are unsupported by any legitimate cause or suspicion. There are no written policies or procedures governing the jet bridge program.”

As we formerly reported, Eric stated he did not consent to the search and states he did not see any other Black travelers boarding with his group in the concern line. He thinks the occurrence was a timeless case of racial profiling in the so-called war on drugs.

Clayton County PD reacted at the time, calling it a “consensual encounter” … and stating Eric offered his itinerary and likewise provided officers the opportunity to browse his travel luggage, however they did not.

Eric fasted to react to Clayton County PD’s declaration, stating, “I did NOT volunteer to a search and I did not volunteer to talk. You guys flashed your badge and detained me with no probable cause except for racism. This is JIM CROW RACISM.”

Eric and Clayton state the numbers do not lie and firmly insist that individuals of color are disproportionately subjected to these sort of screenings, including the chances of it arbitrarily happening by doing this are “significantly less than one in one hundred trillion.”
