Alan Ruck was seen walking with support at the Golden Globes last weekend, and although we know exactly what could be the reason… there is another explanation.

The ‘Succession’ star was present on Sunday in Los Angeles for the big awards show and people immediately noticed that he was using a cane to move around the red carpet. He didn’t say anything about it at the time, but people thought this was related to the car accident.

Let’s remember that Alan was involved in a nasty accident here in Hollywood when he lost control of his luxury electric truck and crashed into the wall of a pizzeria, causing a big scene and a lot of damage.

While Alan apparently emerged unscathed at that time, he could be seen bruised in the following days.

Now the speculation returns… but we have some answers. Sources close to Alan tell TMZ that his cane is actually helping him with an unrelated ailment he has been dealing with recently.

We are told that Alan underwent a complete knee replacement surgery just 3 and a half weeks ago, after suffering from arthritis for some time. So that’s why he was using it.

No, this cane was not a fashion statement, we are informed that Alan really needs it, and that’s what he’s doing. It’s interesting (and miraculous) that he wasn’t seriously injured during the October accident.
