Danny Masterson has been moved from a notorious prison in California to a more humane detention facility.
The actor, known for his role in “That ’70s Show,” was relocated from Corcoran State Prison to the California Men’s Colony in San Luis Obispo.
Masterson’s transfer is expected to have a positive impact on his well-being.
The California Men’s Colony (CMC) consists of two separate housing facilities and is classified as a medium to minimum security prison, as per the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation website.
Masterson is held in either East Facility or West Facility, both of which provide self-help and academic programs aimed at teaching inmates vocational and other skills. Additionally, the prison offers substance abuse counseling, mental health treatment, and anger management courses.

The living conditions represent a considerable improvement from Masterson’s previous environment.
Corcoran, previously a maximum security penitentiary that housed the late Charles Manson, currently incarcerates some of California’s most dangerous criminals. In 2017, Manson passed away while serving a life sentence for the infamous Tate-LaBianca murders.
Following his conviction on two counts of forcible rape in Los Angeles in 2023, Masterson was handed a 30-year prison sentence.
