D.L. Hughley Says Twitter Users Celebrating Queen’s Death Lack Compassion

D.L. Hughley says the folks who were celebrating Queen Elizabeth‘s death are quite soul-less, due to the fact that even if they have a point about her tradition … the timing remains in bad taste.

We got the comic Thursday in L.A. on the heels of QE2’s passing, which triggered an unsympathetic action on Twitter — a lots of memes and jokes flying at her expenditure. While it was trending under “Black Twitter,” that by no method represents the view of all Black individuals.

Still, it was a thing … and D.L.’s got some poignant ideas about the concept of dancing on somebody’s tomb. To him, it’s a low blow and entirely unneeded … no matter how you may feel about any someone.

The grievances that were being aired out about the Queen involved her function in maintaining the tradition of British imperialism, which frequently impacted countries with Black and/or brown individuals — and to some, the truth she was the token for this old organization is something that simply didn’t sit well in 2022.

However, even if a few of those reviews are required, D.L.’s point here is that there’s a time and location to get it out … and in his mind, that should not take place right as somebody passes away.
