Cindy Morgan — well known for her performance in “Caddyshack” — has passed away as reported by TMZ.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the actress’ death in the area, but no further details regarding her passing have been immediately made available. It has also been confirmed that her body is currently at a local funeral home in Florida.
Morgan is best known for her portrayal of Lacey Underall in the iconic 1980 comedy alongside Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, and Rodney Dangerfield. She played the role of the country club owner’s attractive niece who captivates the attention of almost every male character.
She had several notable scenes and was particularly memorable as the primary seductress in the movie. One significant scene involved her attempting to seduce Chevy at a party.
Aside from her role in “Caddyshack,” Cindy starred in several other major films throughout her career, specifically in “Tron” where she portrayed two significant roles, Lora and Yori. Additionally, she appeared in “Galaxis,” “Silent Fury,” “Up Yours” and other movies.
Her television career was even more impressive, with roles on popular shows such as “The Love Boat,” “CHiPs,” “Bring ‘Em Back Alive,” “The Fall Guy,” “Falcon Crest,” “Matlock,” “Hunter,” “The Highwayman,” “Manusco, FBI,” “The Larry Sanders Show,” “Under Suspicion,” and others.
Cindy’s professional background encompassed 37 acting credits, and it appears that she was still active as recently as 2022, having voiced a character in an independent film. Efforts to reach out to her representatives have been unsuccessful.
She was 69 years old.
