An American couple is being held for ransom in Haiti every week after the household reported that they have been kidnapped from a bus.
Jean Dickens Toussaint and his spouse, Abigail Toussaint of Tamarac, Florida, have been visiting relations in Haiti after they have been kidnapped whereas touring on a bus from Port-au-Prince on March 18.
A household buddy who met the couple on the airport and escorted them on the bus was additionally kidnapped, their niece, Christie, informed ABC Miami affiliate WPLG.
“They stopped the bus at a cease and so they requested for the Americans on the bus and their escorts to come back off the bus after which they took them,” Christie stated.
The couple, each 33, have been thought of “lacking” since they have been compelled off the bus at gunpoint.
Their fellow church members at First Haitian Baptist Church of Pompano Beach created a Change.org petition asking for help and prayers. The petition generated practically 1,500 signatures.
