In support of the movie The Book Of Clarence, director and musician Jeymes Samuel, also known as The Bullitts, has unveiled the film’s soundtrack, The Book Of Clarence (The Motion Picture Soundtrack).
Featuring a diverse lineup of artists, Samuel brings soulful and biblical vibes to the highly-anticipated track “I Want You Forever,” a nine-minute performance by D’Angelo and JAY-Z. This is complemented by the previously released “Hallelujah Heaven” by Lil Wayne, Buju Banton, and Shabba Ranks. The 11-track collection includes “Jeezu” by Doja Cat, Kodak Black, and Adekunle Gold, “Godqueen” by Kid Cudi, and “Champagne” by Jorja Smith. Other featured artists are Jorge Ben Jor, Yemi Alade, Alice Smith, and Terry Callier.
Furthermore, Jeymes Samuel has also dropped the film’s score, The Book Of Clarence (Original Motion Picture Score), comprising 28 songs.
The American biblical comedy-drama, co-produced by director Jeymes Samuel, JAY-Z, James Lassiter, and Tendo Nagenda, follows the story of Clarence (LaKeith Stanfield) in A.D. 33 Jerusalem, as he navigates his struggles for a better life and claims to be the new Messiah amidst the rise of Jesus. The film features a stellar cast including Omar Sy, Anna Diop, RJ Cyler, David Oyelowo, Micheal Ward, James McAvoy, Alfre Woodard, Teyana Taylor, and Caleb McLaughlin. The Book Of Clarence is currently showing in theaters.
