According to The New York Times, the series does not yet have a title or a fully fleshed-out format, but it will “allow Mr. Letterman to combine two interests for which he is renowned: in-depth conversations with extraordinary people, and in-the-field segments expressing his curiosity and humor.” The series will run for six hour-long episodes, with each episode featuring a long-form interview between Letterman and an individual guest, as well as segments in which he explores the wider world.
“I feel excited and lucky to be working on this project for Netflix,” Letterman said in a statement. “Here’s what I have learned, if you retire to spend more time with your family, check with your family first. Thanks for watching, drive safely.” Can’t wait to have you back, Dave.
